Creating our Future and Making Dreams Come True
Dear WCB Supporter,

Thank you very much for considering Washington Contemporary Ballet and supporting the work we do to make our community a better place to live. For 23 years WCB has enlightened the youth of our area with quality training and performing opportunities. Many of our alumni are now performing professionally, even internationally! All of this is made possible because of the generous support of people like you.

How will your generous donation help us achieve our goals?

World Class Instructors: High quality instructors do more than teach the mechanics of ballet. They teach a discipline that our students carry with them throughout their entire lives. They teach principals, responsibility, accountability, structure and respect. More than dance, our students take with them from WCB the ability to lead positive, productive lives in any career choice they make.

Amazing Performance Opportunities: Our students all have the opportunity to perform in as many as four productions each year:A holiday favorite, “The Nutcracker" incorporates every interested student regardless of age or ability. Our Spring Repertory Concert is a showcase for our company dancers but will also feature many of our younger students to fulfill our casting requirements. The Spring Repertory Concert features choreography from our existing body of work as well as new work we produce each year! We also participate in festivals, support other non profit/ charitable events and at the end of the year every student is featured in our annual recital which showcases how our dancers have advanced.

Facility Maintenance and Improvements: We keep our costs as low as possible, but as with any facility that has the traffic of hundreds of tiny feet it needs to be kept up. We have done much to improve the environment for our students but your generous support in this area would make it that much more appealing and inviting. We can also name a studio, break room, office or waiting area after you or your family as a thank you for helping us!

Special Needs classes: Everyone deserves the chance to dance if that's their dream. Children with special needs need a place to realize that dream. The families of special needs children are usually already strained from the costs of caring for their children, please help us make it possible for these children to realize their dream without cost to their families.

Scholarship Program:With the same thoughts in mind, also consider providing the fulfillment of a dream to children whose families lack the means to pay for it. No child should be deprived of realizing their dreams.

Outreach Program:Our goal is to get students involved in an uplifting and rewarding activity that encourages well-being of the mind, body and spirit. A robust outreach program can encourage students to lead by example, helping others to make the art and discipline of dance a part of their lives.

On behalf of our board of Directors, myself, and the many children you'll be helping, thank you very much for your generosity.

Sincerely

Ken Kaiser
Artistic Director
