Our Mission:

 WCB Is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in dance, through an unwavering commitment to develop all facets of a dancer’s technical ability, physical conditioning, and artistic expression, and to promote and celebrate dance as an art form throughout our community. 

Our Philosophy:

WCB is unique among area dance organizations in its commitment to providing a classical foundation to students in the historic, artistic, and technical areas of dance.
Our commitment to quality instruction in a professional atmosphere provides those students who have dreams and aspirations of a career in dance with comprehensive training, while simultaneously affording dance opportunities to those seeking a creative and recreational outlet. To support this philosophy, Washington Contemporary Ballet provides classes and programs in a wide-range of dance forms and related subjects.
The cultural impacts of our programs go well beyond the training in the classroom. Exposure to the community, through public performance, benefit concerts, and dance demonstrations is integral to our purpose.
